Commercial ComplianceThe Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), on July 13, 2026, notified the establishment of four revised Indian Standards under the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018. The revised standards were established on July 9, 2026, and the corresponding existing standards will remain in force concurrently until January 9, 2027, after which they will be withdrawn.

The notification covers revised standards relating to the determination of thermal conductivity of thermal insulation materials (IS 3346:2026), Triallate Technical Specification (IS 9357:2026), Hexaconazole Emulsifiable Concentrate (IS 14550:2026), and general requirements and guidance for microbiological examination of the food chain aligned with ISO 7218:2024 (IS 16122:2026).

The revised standards update technical specifications and testing methodologies in line with current national and international practices, while providing a six-month transition period for stakeholders before the earlier standards are withdrawn.
